Brightburn was… solid
A horror flick that makes the most out of a modest budget. The film plays out like a typical slasher with some pretty brutal kills and a relatively light plot. The parents played by Elizabeth Banks and David Denham really make up the heart and soul of the film’s narrative with good chemistry and legitimate conflict about their sons increasingly erratic behavior. My biggest problem was pacing, the movie is about 90 minutes and everything felt like it moved along just a bit too quickly, a few more scenes here and there would've made the progression a little more believable, but still a solid gore fest to start off the summer.
7/10 Bloody good fun
